On-page SEO is one of the most important parts of Digital Marketing. SEO has two main parts: On-page SEO and another is Off-page. Both are equally important but On-page is the first step when we start SEO for any website.

What is On-Page SEO?

On-page SEO is also known as On-site SEO which applies optimization techniques on the website or single web page to rank top on Search Engine Result pages (SERP). On-page SEO has the ability to bring more new visitors, and customers to your website. Additionally, on-page SEO is completely up to us. We will establish what the topic and goal of each page will be. We need to decide the correct target audience for that page. We need to choose the target keywords and phrases you want to focus on. On-page SEO components include content, site architecture, and HTML code.

  1. On-page SEO refers to the page elements that enable search engines to crawl and index a page.
  2. Off-page SEO refers to social sharing, external linking, and more.
  3. Technical SEO refers to all the SEO elements not included in on-page and off-page practices, such as structured data, site speed, and mobile readiness — the more technical parts of SEO.

On-page SEO is most necessary because it tells to about our website and and how we provide value to visitors and customers. It helps our site to be optimized for both human minds and search engine bots. Creating a website and publishing it isn’t enough, we must optimise it for search engines like Google, DuckDuck Go, Bing, etc. in order to rank and attract new visitors.

On-page SEO is known as “On-Page” because the changes we make for the ranking can be seen by the website visitors. (Off-page and Technical SEO aren’t always viewable). Everything in on-page SEO is totally up to us; that’s why you always make sure that you are going in the right direction. Now let’s understand the elements of SEO.

On-Page SEO Elements

There are mainly 11 types of On-page SEO elements we use every day. These elements are Keyword Research, Content, Page Titles, Headers, Meta Descriptions, Image Alt-text, Page URLs, Internal Linking, Mobile responsiveness, and Site speed.

1. Keyword Research
The very first step before creating high-quality content is choosing relevant keywords and topics. Doing keyword research by searching Google for terms and seeing what are the difficulties for competitors and other websites. You can also use tools like Ahrefs, Google Keyword Manager, and UberSuggest.

When doing keyword research, how your content fall into visitor’s needs and visitor’s search intent. This will help you to understand how we can use the correct keywords and content for our visitors. For Awareness, we can use blog posts, videos, and a home page. For consideration, the suggested content is a case study. For the decision, we can suggest product demos, comparison tools, and a contact page.

2. Visual Content
Visual content like images, graphics, and charts can play an amazing role in On-page SEO for several reasons. Images can enhance the visual appeal and engagement of web pages. It can help you to make content more scannable and easier to understand. Plus, optimizing images with alt tags can help drive traffic from image search results.

3. Page Titles
Your website page titles also known as title tags are one of the most important SEO elements.

Titles tell both visitors and search engines what they can find on the corresponding pages. To ensure your site pages rank for the proper intent, be sure to include the focus keyword for each page in the title. Incorporate your keyword as naturally as possible.

4. Headers
Headers, also known as body tags, refer to the HTML element <h1>, <h2>, <h3>, and so on.

5. Meta Description

6. Image Alt-Text

7. Page URLs
Your page URLs should be simple to understand for both readers and search engines. They are also important when keeping your site consistent as you create subpages, blog posts, and other types of internal pages.

8. Internal Linking
Internal linking is the process of hyperlinking to other helpful pages on your website.

Internal linking is important for on-page SEO because internal links send readers to other pages on your website, keeping them around longer and thus telling Google your site is valuable and helpful.

Also, when the visitors stay longer on your website, the more time Google has to crawl and index your site pages. This ultimately helps Google to know more information about your website and it helps to rank it higher on the search engine results pages.

9. Mobile Responsiveness
Google started favouring sites that are optimized for faster mobile speeds — even for desktop searches. Mobile responsiveness matters. 10. Site Speed
